Opener Quinton de Kock’s composed 61 off 39 balls, which included six fours and two sixes, and Naveen-ul-Haq’s incisive bowling spell of 3/28 headlined MI NY’s victory in a tightly contested affair.

MI New York made the most of ideal batting conditions after being sent in with openers Quinton de Kock and Monank Patel coming good yet again. de Kock was precise and fluent as he struck the ball cleanly through cover and midwicket, while Monank Patel also continued his stellar form with a breezy 47 in just 28 balls. But a mini wobble in the middle saw SEO crawl their way back into the match. However, Michael Bracewell reignited the innings with 3 sixes and two fours in his 17-ball 35, pushing the total to a competitive 193/6 in 20 overs. Harmeet Singh and Gerald Coetzee were the pick of the Orcas’ bowling attack with figures of 2/30 and 2/36 in their respective four overs.
